Accessibility statement
Anyone should be able to answer an Anonymeter form - including people who use a keyboard instead of a mouse, a screen reader, zoom, or high contrast. An anonymous channel only works if everyone can reach it.
Last updated 22 October 2026.
The standard we work to
We design and test against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. We have not yet had a third-party audit, so we do not claim formal conformance. What follows is what we have built and checked ourselves.
The response form
The page respondents see - the form at anonymeter.com/f/... - is where we have focused first:
- Keyboard. Every question can be answered with Tab, the arrow keys, Space and Enter, including the star rating, and the focused control is always outlined.
- Screen readers. Every answer field and every group of options is named by its question; each star is read as a number ("3 stars"); required questions are announced as required.
- Errors. A missing required answer or a wrong form password is announced as soon as it appears, not only shown in red.
- Contrast. Text meets a 4.5:1 contrast ratio in both the light and the dark theme, and respondents can switch between them.
- Language. The form's own buttons, messages and anonymity promise appear in the respondent's language - 18 languages - and the page declares its language to assistive technology.
- Zoom and small screens. The form reflows for phones and for browser zoom; no answer needs a mouse or a precise gesture.
- No lost answers. There is no time limit on writing. If the page has been open for a very long time, the answers stay on the page and sending again is all it takes.
Known limitations
- No third-party WCAG audit and no VPAT / Accessibility Conformance Report yet.
- The pages form owners use - the dashboard and the form builder - have not been reviewed to the same depth as the response form.
- Content written by a form's owner, such as the questions themselves, is the owner's responsibility; we recommend plain wording and descriptive option labels.
Report a barrier
If anything on Anonymeter is hard or impossible to use with your setup, write to
[email protected].
Tell us the page, what you tried, and the browser or assistive technology you use if you can.
Accessibility problems on the response form are fixed before other work. If you are a respondent, you do not need
to say which form you were answering.
